This remarkably unique property attracted over 100 people the day of the auction this past June, drawing potential bidders from as far away as Wyoming. This property was established at the turn of the 20th century by Sam and Estelle James. Silverwood acquired its name when it was purchased from the James estate by Jimmy Honea of JTH, Ltd. in 198. Honea was owner of Flatwood Hank, who, at just 20 months old, shocked the field trials world in 1986 when he because the youngest bird dog in history to win the National Championship. The property consisted of 1,083 acres, with the western border flanked by a two mile stretch of the Flint River, providing an incredible haven for maintaining nature's balance and the abounding wildlife.
